Rosalind Snook, Purchasing Agent, Grand Bank Seafoods – Grand Bank, NewfoundlandI joined the Clearwater team 15 years ago as an Accounts Payable Clerk at Grand Bank Seafoods in Grand Bank, Newfoundland & Labrador. Within a few years, I moved into the Accounts Receivables Department, followed by another transition a few years later into my current role.

Today, I am also the Purchasing Agent for Clearwater’s Highland Fisheries processing plant in Glace Bay, Nova Scotia for all core species produced in both facilities, including Arctic Surf, Cockle and Northern Propeller Clams, as well as Sea Cucumber and Snow Crab.

On a daily basis, I am responsible for the procurement of all equipment and supplies in both facilities and ensure these purchases fall within Clearwater’s corporate guidelines. I also oversee the shipping and receiving of all items in Grand Bank Seafoods, such as packaging, machine parts, to name a few, and that appropriate inspections are conducted on all incoming goods. This includes ensuring all items entering Grand Bank Seafoods are compliant with food safety standards and industry requirements.

My favourite thing about Clearwater is working with a great team. Together, we have built a dedicated group of people who don’t hesitate to go the extra mile. I also enjoy working for an organization that gives back and supports the local communities it serves. I am proud to say I work for Clearwater!
